The afore mentioned young gunner from Pistolvania, Wiz Khalifa, is stepping his game up. Running with the likes of J.Cole, Big Sean and the Cudder, to stay on the radar he doesn’t really have a choice. Wiz has now supplied us peasants an ode to moving on from bad --> better interpersonal relationships on the Rated Rookie mixtape in Fly Solo.
Where art thou young Lupe? His fans have been impatiently awaiting a new album for entirely too long- supporters staged a protest October 15th in support of the artist (for the full story- http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1649637/20101008/fiasco__lupe.jhtml). Apparently the pressured paid off. Lupe Fiasco’s Lasers LP is slated for a March 8th release with the albums first single dropping Oct. 26th. His consistently innovative sound is on stage in Solar Midnite, a single off the Twilight New Moon soundtrack (yes- I go and find the sound wherever it is)
Possibly the most explosive trio in the underground hip hop universe right now is GBC (Get Busy Committee). As a sign of BIG things to come, this jam is the culmination of GBC’s feist, wit and versatility commingled with the star power of Murs, Xzibit and Paul Wall. Result = yes please.
